Project Objective

"The Eagle Nests of the Riviera" is a documentary series in 13 episodes of 26 minutes, produced by Terre M’air Productions and broadcast on TV Monaco and TV5 Monde. This work highlights the iconic perched villages of the Côte d’Azur, true sentinels of time, through the perspective of those who live there. Between heritage, traditions, and unique stories, the series pays tribute to a cultural heritage often overlooked but deeply rooted in the Mediterranean soul.

Cinematography & Techniques

Filmed with the Sony FX3, equipped with the Ronin DJI RS PRO 3 and Sony GM lenses (12-24 mm, 24-70 mm, 70-200 mm f/2.8), the series combines documentary rigor with cinematic sensitivity. The aerial shots taken with the drone DJI Mini Pro 3 offer breathtaking perspectives on these villages suspended between sea and mountain. The entire visual setup has been designed to enhance the texture of stone, the light of the South, and the depth of the landscapes.

Storytelling

Each episode weaves an intimate connection between the place and its inhabitants. Sincere testimonies, everyday gestures, and the raw beauty of the landscapes create a poetic and vibrant narrative. The rhythm, alternating between contemplation and speech, allows for emotion and transmission, inviting the viewer to rediscover the Riviera from an authentic and human angle.

Final Result

"The Eagle Nests of the Riviera" has achieved public and critical success, paving the way for two new documentary series: The Picturesque Ports of the Mediterranean and The Pearls of the Riviera. This success confirms the power of a format that combines visual excellence with cultural depth, and underscores the mission of this collection: to preserve and transmit the living memory of our Mediterranean heritage.
